Discover the perfect retreat for outdoor family adventures with your faithful friends and stay at this stone-built cottage in the Lake District. Bursting with rustic charm, it’s a wonderful place to unwind after enjoying all the tail-wagging walks through the fells which begin at the doorstep.

The entrance boasts a large porch and drying area with bike storage, leading to a practical boot room, which also serves as a bedroom for your canine companions. On the ground floor, you'll find a delightful twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. A built-in cupboard with hanging space adds convenience. Head upstairs to the spacious and open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, featuring a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and many windows to maximize sunlight and showcase the views. The well-equipped contemporary kitchen is perfect for preparing meals to enjoy around the dining table, while the cosy lounge area offers comfortable sofas, including a sofa bed. On cooler evenings, the wood burner-effect electric fire is sure to be a hit with the hounds. Off this living space, discover an impressive double bedroom with breathtaking fell views and a charming bathroom. Open the glazed door from the main living space and step onto the raised decking, ideal for enjoying a morning cup of coffee while taking in the view. Steps lead down to another al fresco dining space and a small lawn, creating a perfect spot for relaxation with Fido and Rover.

Pack a picnic and embark on a scenic journey along the River Esk towards St Catherine’s Church and the magnificent Stanley Ghyll Force waterfall, 7 miles away. Alternatively, join the Eskdale Trail, a popular route for both dog walkers and cyclists, stretching from Dalegarth to Ravenglass. For adventurous pups, tackle the challenge of Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain, located 13.5 miles away. Take a journey back in time on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (3 miles), where four-pawed pals are welcome to join you. When it’s time to refuel, the village of Boot boasts a couple of dog-friendly pubs within 2 miles of your door.
