An astonishing property on the Minterne Estate within 2 miles from Cerne Abbas, home of the famous 55-metre-long hillside giant. The dog-friendly property enjoys spacious living areas, a large garden and access to shared leisure facilities. This is a fantastic setting for a large family getaway, with easy access to attractions in Dorchester and Sherborne.

The detached former farmhouse is found through private entrance gates and along a driveway. Its statuesque double frontage, surrounded by trees and undulating countryside, never fails to make a lasting first impression. The interior is fresh and traditional, with plenty of room for three dogs to wander around unhindered. The dual-aspect lounge and adjacent dining room are inviting places for family time after a long day, with a spacious kitchen area and a utility room on the ground floor. A spiral staircase leads up to the first floor where two king-size bedrooms, a single bedroom and an en-suite super-king-size bedroom stand just off a galleried landing. A family bathroom is only a few paw prints away. A set of stairs to the second floor leads to a super-king-size bedroom, a single bedroom, a twin bedroom and a generous en-suite family room. A second family bathroom finishes things off. The gorgeous lawn gardens outside are perfect for dog-friendly children's games and al fresco meals after hot tub soaks with incredible rural views for company. Shared leisure facilities on the grounds can be accessed during the spring and summer.

The magnificent Minterne Gardens (0.5 miles) are a must for horticulturalists in the pack, while history lovers will be in their element in the presence of the Cerne Abbas Giant (2 miles). Dorchester and Sherborne (within 10 miles) are well-used to four-pawed customers, who can roam many a cultural and historic site along with their humans.

  • When Lord Digby is in residence, guests are welcome to have a complimentary tour of the house and learn about the history

Fantastic location on a working farm estate with friendly & helpful people. The house is beautifully presented with lots of thoughtful touches for all age groups. It was comfortable & roomy. It met & exceeded the needs of 3 generations of our family with spacious bedrooms & ample facilities. The family room on the first floor was especially enjoyedRead more by the children. Our large extended family of 16 had a very comfortable stay in this spacious house. The house was well decorated and furnished and the kitchen very well equipped. There were little extras such as a range of books in each room, that made this house stand out. The availability of the pool and tennis court at the neighbouring Minterne estate were a grRead moreeat hit with the children as were the large garden and hot tub.
