Release the hounds and watch the children play at this stylish cottage on the 450-acre St Mellion Estate, which features a comfortable lounge, an open-plan kitchen/diner and an enclosed garden. With Looe, Dartmoor National Park and Bodmin Moor all within easy reach, this is the ideal setting for a large family holiday or getaway with friends in the Tamar Valley AONB.

This spacious two-storey cottage stands in an elevated position and enjoys fantastic views of the surrounding area. There is plenty of space in its large, bright rooms for guests on four and two paws to move around, along with contemporary soft furnishings to unwind upon throughout the day. You'll find yourselves regularly curling up by the wood burner in the cosy lounge after a good meal in the charming kitchen/diner. The games room is a fantastic place for youngsters to blow off steam, and when it's time for more than just a nap, the cottage's four en-suite super-king-zip-and-link bedrooms (which can all be made up as twin bedrooms on request) are spread equally between the ground and first floor. The enclosed garden is a great area to catch some rays after morning coffees and ahead of that highly anticipated BBQ.

You'd be barking mad not to make the most of the estate's golf course and health club, or enjoy a meal at the estate's bar and restaurant. The 450-acre site is a fitting setting for dog walks, just like the Tamar Valley AONB, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park. Dogs are also welcome to join you in the vibrant coastal communities of Looe, Polperro and Plymouth (all within 20 miles).

Fantastic stay at Watson Cottage Gorgeous property and decorated to a very high standard and so comfortable We were a group of eight and everybody loved their rooms and en-suites . A very special property for us each having our own bathroom en-suite can't wait to stay again. Our family of 8 stayed at Watson Cottage over the Christmas period, a lovely welcome hamper was left, and we had some lovely decorations to enjoy. Cottage was very comfortable and the ovens great to cook our Turkey and all the trimmings. Secure garden for the dogs. Loved our putting green outside as well. Wow wow wow! 5* from us!! What an amazing property! We had the best time atwatsons cottage. The welcome was great with wine and biscuits which were lovely. The cottage was exceptionally clean and very well equipped. The beds were the comfiest I've ever had and the hot showers and high end bathrooms were just splendid. The private putting green out Read morethe front made my sons day and the spa and golf course were the cherry on the cake! We will defo be back and highly recommend this beautiful house. Hide

Perfect cottage and dog friendly with enclosed garden. Everything was in perfect condition and was very comfortable. 4 bedrooms (1 downstairs) each with en suite. Could not fault this property.

We were 2 families (4 adults and 5 children) and stayed at Watson cottage for a week. The cottage is very spacious with ensuites in every bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. The sitting room was spacious and the kids enjoyed playing there. There was also a play room with a 3 in 1 table football game which we all enjoyed playing. The kitchen waRead mores fully equipped and the dining area was superb. The resort has amazing pool facilities which we used and all enjoyed. Overall a really good holiday! Hide

This is a wonderful cottage, in an amazing location. When we arrived we were very impressed with the presentation and finish, it's a credit to its owners. It's a short walk to the club house where there is a good bar and restaurant, as well as the gym and swimming pool. Of course, there of golf on the doorstep as well as a tennis court. Watson cottage is a newly built cottage at St. Mellion's. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cottage is well equipped, with an exception of a few household staples which is purely due to the early days of hosting and did not affect us much. Really clean and tidy, and a very well thought through layout: socialising area away from bedrooms meant that adRead moreults could proceed with evening after kids went to bed. Living room with a wood burner is a cherry on top. Good for dogs. Would love to come back! Hide
