Switch off and relax in this charming cottage for couples and small families in the rural hamlet of Rhiwfawr, on the outskirts of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons). The area is a haven for walkers and four-pawed sidekicks with countryside rambles directly from your front door, and the breathtaking sandy beaches of the Gower Peninsula within 25 miles. The colourful market town of Llandeilo is 13.5 miles away and offers a great range of independent shops and eateries.
Enter the attractive cottage at the rear, via the handy utility/boot room. From here, move through to the bright, open-plan kitchen/diner. This sociable space is decorated in a contemporary style, with little pops of colour adding personality and charm. Spend time here, trying new recipes in the sleek kitchen area and dining together at the wooden dining table. After dinner, retire to the gorgeous lounge to watch the Smart TV and warm your toes and paws by the cosy wood burner. The three elegant bedrooms and a spacious family shower room can be found upstairs. To the front of the cottage is a vast, enclosed lawn where the woofers can burn off steam.
The south-west corner of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park is known as Waterfall Country, and is the perfect place for shady walks with the woofers on a summer’s day, with waterside trails through tree-lined gorges (you’ll find several waymarked routes within a 10-mile radius of the cottage). Heading south, you’ll soon reach the coastal resort of Mumbles (20 miles), with its traditional seaside attractions and eateries. Mumbles is the gateway to the spectacular Gower Peninsula, where you’ll find idyllic sandy beaches and dramatic coastal walks.
