Leading from the village is The Tarka Trail, a 180-mile off-road walking and cycling route that winds all the way to Barnstaple, perfect for sniffing out adventures and soaking up the countryside air. If you fancy a trip to the coast, Saunton Sands (2.5 miles) is dog-friendly all year round and has vast stretches of golden shoreline to run wild and free.
