This welcoming holiday home is in Wooler, on the edge of Northumberland National Park. The property sleeps six guests and two canine companions, and is perfect for families and groups of friends. You and the furballs will be spoilt for choice when it comes to walkies, with the Cheviot Hills on your doorstep. Nearby doggy days out include Bamburgh Castle (16 miles) and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (17 miles).
The holiday home has a country cottage style, with an array of creature comforts to make you and your waggy-tailed pals feel at home. Enter the lobby, where you can store all your dog-walking gear, and head into the open-plan kitchen/diner. From here, a step leads down to the cosy lounge, where plump seating is arranged around a Smart TV. Bi-fold doors open from the lounge to the enclosed garden, so the hounds can amble in and out. Also on the ground floor is an elegant double bedroom and a family bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are accessed via a small flight of stairs, and one of these rooms has an en-suite shower room. Outside, soak up the sunshine on the patio in the enclosed garden, whilst Rover and Fido play on the lawn. There’s also a utility room outside, reached via the patio.
Wooler is known as the gateway to the Cheviot Hills, and is a hub for walkers and their four-legged sidekicks. Set off on foot and paw, to explore the breathtaking landscape of picturesque streams, dramatic waterfalls, and ancient hillforts. After a long hike, refuel in one of the town’s cosy pubs. Heading to the coast, you’ll soon reach Bamburgh, known for its spectacular castle on the cliff. Potter around the castle grounds with the woofers, before heading down to the picture-postcard beach for a game of fetch.
