Shrug off coats, hang up leads and wipe down muddy paws on the convenient porch, as you head into this warm and welcoming cottage. The bright and spacious lounge is a delight to spend time in with high beamed ceilings, Velux windows, and soothing hues with pops of colour. A few steps lead up to the kitchen/diner, where a modern fitted kitchen with a large, range-style oven is a delight to prepare meals in before gathering around the dining table to share good food and conversation. Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor where you’ll find two inviting bedrooms, both with zip-and-link beds, along with a family bathroom and a small utility space.
While this cottage doesn’t have a garden, you can enjoy a morning cuppa on the small, cobbled patio, before heading off for morning walkies along the banks of the River Eden. History-loving hounds can accompany their humans on the grounds of Appleby Castle – wander past historic buildings and churches, and hop on the historic Settle-Carlisle railway. Further afield, discover Ullswater Lake and the Aira Force Waterfall in the Lake District (25 miles) or explore the glorious gardens at Lowther Castle (13 miles).
