With plenty of space for eight humans and two hounds, this holiday home is a perfect base for those looking to explore the beauty of the Welsh coast. Located just outside the town of Cardigan, you’ll be ideally located to explore the coast path on an invigorating walk with your canines in tow. At the end of each day, you’ll love returning home to the cosy, comfortable living area for a snooze in front of the wood burner.
Unusually, the living room, kitchen and dining room are all located on the first floor which means you can make the most of the garden views. The living room is spacious with a charming rustic style and a wood burner as the feature focal point between the comfortable sofas, with plenty of space for your four-legged friends to curl up at your feet. Next door, the kitchen is sleek with plenty of space to cook up a storm for a family celebration, as well as an eight-seater dining table for all to gather around and share memories. For peace and quiet, head to the cosy snug room where you’ll find a vinyl turntable, a TV and a selection of games to play. The bedrooms are split between the ground floor and the second floor making this a great option for families travelling together. Downstairs are two super-king-size bedrooms with en-suite for added privacy, whilst upstairs are two twin bedrooms which have use of the family shower room. Outside, the pretty enclosed garden is comparable to a secret haven, surrounded by mature trees and shrubs with space for all guests to gather around to dine alfresco, as well as a lawn where pups can play.
From your doorstep you’ll be able to walk beside the River Teifi, heading inland or towards the coast where it meets the sea for a tail-wagging trail. Seaside-loving canines are sure to enjoy a visit to Aberporth Beach where they can paddle in the shallow waters on the Dyffryn side of the beach, whilst the cliff-top walk on the Ceredigion Coast Path here is truly mesmerising – especially if you get the chance to spot a dolphin or seal! Penbryn Beach (11 miles) may only be dog-friendly for part of the year, but the woodland footpath behind the sandy bay welcomes those on four paws at all times of the year with a peaceful stream for a little dip, perfect for a hot summer’s day.
