Full of colour, character and fabulous finishing touches, this high-end holiday home is perfect for a pet-loving pair, but has flexible sleeping options that would equally suit a couple of friends or small family. Located in a conservation village just 4 miles from Barnstaple, it's a beautiful base from which to discover North Devon's coast and countryside.
Bow-wow features abound at this luxurious holiday home - a peaceful hideaway in the North Devon countryside. Step in and you'll find drool-inducing oak features that complement jewel-coloured soft furnishings in the open-plan living area. Warm toes and paws before the wood burner, make culinary magic in the stylish kitchen and enjoy lively conversation at the dining suite - however you spend your time here, your dog can stay close without moving a paw. Once he's settled for the night, head upstairs to a dreamy bedroom where your king-size bed looks onto a canopy of copper beech leaves and beautiful garden views. A single pull-out bed in this room will accommodate a younger child, or for further flexibility you could make use of the double sofa bed in the lounge. Ensuring comfort and convenience for all, completing the cottage is a bathroom with a walk-in shower, plus a ground floor cloakroom. A gorgeous garden, accessed via French doors from the lounge, has a decking area with a double egg seat, BBQ and fire pit, a lawn and then a second, stream-side deck with further outdoor seating. The whole area is enclosed and has atmospheric night-time lighting.
This gem of a cottage is in the heart of Guineaford, a village 10 miles from the Exmoor National Park. Both Saunton and Woolacombe (each around 8 miles) have 3-mile stretches of golden sand where four-legged friends are welcome throughout the year. Alternatively, walk the largely traffic-free Tarka trail which you can join at Barnstaple, 4 miles from your doorstep.
