Set tails wagging with an adventure at this characterful cottage, ideally located between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. Humans and hounds can marvel at the beautiful surrounding landscapes from the enclosed garden which has plenty of space for pups to run and play. For days out, Kirkby Stephen (10 miles) is a hub of dog-friendly eateries and pretty peak walks ensuring something to please those on four legs as well as two.

At the heart of this charming family-friendly property is the open-plan living room/diner, furnished with an array of comfortable seating where your canine can curl up by your feet after a long day out exploring. The warming hues of wood entice guests to kick back and relax, whilst the crackle of the wood burner provides a soothing background. To soak up the scenery, you can venture out onto the private balcony and take a moment of peace. The chef of the group will be pleased with the kitchen which is spacious and stylish, equipped with everything you’ll need to rustle up a family feast. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a king-size bed and an en-suite shower, tastefully decorated in neutral tones which are sure to help you unwind. The lower ground floor is home to a super-king-size room, also boasting an en-suite and leading directly out to the pretty courtyard. Completing the sleeping arrangements is a twin bedroom, perfectly suited to children and adults. The bathroom finishes the lower ground floor with a blissful bathtub and an overhead shower. Outside, the enclosed garden is a great place to socialise with a meal alfresco or to play garden games with Fido to burn off any extra energy before heading in to bed.

For doggies who love to be beside the water, pay a visit to the iconic banks of Windermere (26 miles) where whimsical walkies, dog-friendly boat trips and a wealth of exciting sniffs can be found. Another wonderful waterside location is Ullswater (28 miles) where you can take on a stretch of the 20-mile walking route, and visit the spectacle of Aira Force Waterfall which is a magical sight to see.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage, the location is quite remote but this gives you so much peace and quiet its great. The views are beautiful and theres everything you require to make your stay comfortable. Would return in a heartbeat.
