In the historic village of Powerstock, deep in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this fantastic holiday home is a canine-compatible cottage for an exceptional stay with family or friends. Accommodating the whole pack, the property welcomes four guests and a dog to spend time relaxing and making memories together. With walks on your doorstep and the coastline just a drive away (6 miles), you’ll love heading out each day with a picnic and a selection of doggy treats in tow, wandering out with Rover leading the way and stunning scenery on the horizon.
There’s a real homely feel in this end-terrace cottage, a place that man and dog alike will no doubt relax into from the moment of arrival. The lounge/diner is a lovely space for kicking back at the end of each day, complete with comfy seating, an open fire and a Smart TV. Let man’s best friend curl up in their bed or by your feet whilst you switch on a favourite box set. Another space for relaxing is found in the sunroom, accessed via the kitchen. Here you can throw open patio doors and let your dog run free in the grassy garden whilst you get stuck into a good book on the sofa. A bathroom completes the downstairs, and two bedrooms can be found upstairs for a full night's sleep.
Take a walk to Kingcombe Meadows (4 miles), a protected Dorset Trust wildlife haven where grazing cattle and beautiful wildlife can be viewed – just be sure to keep your energetic pooch on their lead whilst touring. For beaches, head to Cogden Beach (7 miles), an impressive shingle ridge beach with Jurassic Coast views and plenty of space for your pet to run off lead. Bring a tennis ball to throw or enjoy the Cogden Circular route amongst flower-strewn farmland.
