Bursting with character and natural beauty, this eight-person property is ideal for a group break, family reunion or simply for those humans and hounds who love exploring the great outdoors.

Get to the end of your scenic track and drop your bags at the door. Watch as your faithful friends bound through the front door into the cosy utility space, where doggo leads, coats, and muddy boots can be hidden until the next outdoor adventure. A warm welcome awaits in the open-plan kitchen/diner. This traditional farmhouse-style kitchen supplies ample room for sharing great food, enjoying memorable evenings together or reliving the highlight reels of your trip. On balmy evenings, open the patio doors and lap up the breeze from the comfort of the dining table as the dogs run amok in the garden. When furry tummies are nicely rounded, retire to the open-plan living space to recline on the comfy seating in front of the Smart TV. Youngsters will be keen to escape the adults to play a board game in the cosy, snug area with a log-burning stove to warm up little feet. Pet your pal's goodnight, and head to one of four beautifully appointed bedrooms, including a distinctly unique four-poster king-size bedroom with stunning views across the neighbouring landscape. With two bedrooms on the ground floor and two on the above mezzanine floor, every party member has a restful room. In the morning, enjoy a bubbly soak in the roll-top bath before enjoying your coffee in the morning sunshine with only the cows and pups for company.

Pack a picnic and head out for an adventure around England's largest lake, Windermere (11 miles). Follow the captivating 10.5-mile trail, stumbling upon low-level lakeside views to fell hikes, which have been said to make you feel on top of the world! Alternatively, spend a peaceful afternoon scouring the local sites, such as Sizergh Castle (4.5 miles), Levens Hall (3.5 miles) and Holker Hall and Gardens (8.5 miles).
