Situated in the heart of the busy town of Bowness-on-Windermere, this ground-floor apartment is handily close to shops, pubs and a variety of places to eat. It’s a cosy couple’s escape for relaxing and recharging, or makes a great base for walking, water sports, boat trips and visits to the many Cumbrian attractions nearby.

Tuck yourselves away in this inviting retreat, which boasts a stylish interior with a range of modern furniture. The open-plan living space is the ideal spot in which to relax and recharge after a day’s adventures in the great outdoors, catching up with your favourite shows on the Smart TV and with your pup snoozing by your feet. Handily, the sofa can also convert into a bed in order to offer alternative sleeping arrangements. The compact kitchen is cleverly designed to include all the necessary equipment for cooking tasty holiday meals and, with a dishwasher, clearing up afterwards is no fuss. The breakfast bar is the place for morning coffees, quick snacks or lingering dinners, and when you’re ready for bed there’s a welcoming double bedroom, plus a shower room for a refreshing rinse, situated off the hallway.

The Lake District’s most popular visitor destination, bustling Bowness-on-Windermere is a centre for outdoor activities, sailing and water sports, and has a variety of pubs, cafes, takeaways and restaurants to suit all tastes. Taking to the water on a cruise (your pup is welcome, too) is the best way to see the lake and its scenic surroundings, or jump aboard one of the steam trains of the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway - dogs travel free! For day trips, the postcard-pretty village of Grasmere is 9.5 miles, while the National Trust’s Sizergh, where you can walk with your dog in the 1,600-acre estate, is 13 miles.
