Part of a lovely 17th-century property and set in 5 acres of beautiful gardens with walks from the doorstep, this beautiful cottage is perfect for couples, friends, small families and one beloved canine companion. Whether you love the coast or the mountains, the property is the ideal base from which to enjoy the stunning scenery of Mid Wales. There are walks directly from the village up into the hills. This cottage is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, and the market town of Machynlleth (8 miles) is a charming spot for your hound to sniff out an adventure by the river.
This is a gorgeous period property that invites you to relax from the moment you enter with a perfect blend of country house style and your favourite creature comforts. The first room you come to is the spacious kitchen/diner. The kitchen has all the appliances necessary to cook up a storm, and you can eat together while enjoying views over the garden. After a full day of adventure, four paws will nab the best spot to rest, while you relax in the lounge on the comfortable sofas, watch a film on the Smart TV or light the wood burner for cosy nights. There are two bedrooms to choose from – a double or a twin. A bathroom completes the features of this lovely cottage. Outside is a paved patio with furniture, so fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco.
Set tails wagging with a run around in Tan y Coed Forest (9.5 miles), walk to the waterfall and enjoy a picnic in the pretty woodland setting. The Mawddach Trail (17 miles) offers you and your pup a pretty walk along the disused railway line to the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. Talyllyn Railway (19 miles) is a must-visit, and when you reach Abergynolwyn, Quarryman’s Caban station, take a walk on one of the trails at the southern tip of the beautiful Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.
