Sit outside in the sunshine with Rex in your own private courtyard then open the gate so he can bound about in the shared exercise field. This two-bedroom cottage, which sleeps four guests, is set in magnificent, 2.5-acre shared grounds near Chapelton, 5 miles from Barnstaple in Devon. Guests also can also enjoy a shared gazebo for outside dining and a utility barn with running hot and cold water for showering Rex after his exhilarating adventures.
Make your way up two steps to the front door of this charming, country abode. Let Rex lead the way inside to where there is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Rest tired feet and paws in here after long walks; make a cup of tea or tasty meal in the kitchen area and feed Rex here too. Call your friends and family to the table while your canine dozes contently then recline on the soft seating in front of the Smart TV until it is time to turn in. Bid your best furry friend goodnight then head through to either the king-size bedroom or the twin, which has 2’6” beds that can also be set up as a king-size by prior arrangement. There is also a family bathroom. Spill out into your outside seating area on sunny days. Gaze out over the undulating countryside or take Rex for a run in the field.
Set out on exciting dog walks from the cottage, including over nearby Codden Hill. Follow stretches of the traffic-free Tarka Trail with Rex by your side. This runs for 180 miles through beautiful North Devon and Exmoor. Drive 13 miles to the edge of the Exmoor National Park to find interesting, dog-friendly routes. Spend time on the beach at Saunton Sands, 13 miles away, where your chum can run free all year round.
