Located in the heart of 1066 Country in Sussex, this charming cottage is wonderful for history-hungry hounds and humans. It’s on the outskirts of Hastings, a bustling seaside town renowned for its atmospheric Old Town (3.5 miles), iconic fishing huts and dog-friendly beaches (3 miles). The quaint property, originally built for the gardeners of Beauport estate, welcomes up to four humans and two doggie guests. With its handmade bar area, delightful garden, pizza oven and BBQ, it’s sure to be a hit with both two-legged and four-legged guests!

You’ll access the accommodation via steep steps leading down a pathway. The front door opens into a homely lounge featuring two comfy sofas (one of which is a sofa bed), a Smart TV for unwinding after a day of adventures and plenty of rug space for tired pets to laze. The adjacent well-equipped kitchen/diner provides everything you need for preparing delicious meals. While your pets warm their fur by the wood-burner-effect stove, you can enjoy leisurely meals at the dining table for four. The outside space is a truly magical space to relax with your loved ones and pets, with wild areas to encourage wildlife, a hammock strung between two trees and a dining area for spending those mild evenings.

You’ll have a dog-friendly pub and a shop for picking up supplies within 0.5 miles. The property is located within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), so expect wonderful dog-walking opportunities. Head to Brede High Wood (7.5 miles) to explore the wonderful woodland around the Powdermill Reservoir or enjoy the spectacular 4-mile clifftop walk from Hastings to Fairlight Cove. This is a lovely cottage to stay in, especially with dogs. There is a good sized garden with access directly from the garden into a woodland walk. There are other walks from the cottage and Hastings Country Park is a short drive away with many different areas to explore. The cottage is well equipped including a comfortable bed and a hot shower.
