Comfortable and spacious, this welcoming detached house is just the place for a family gathering or a get-together with friends, offering a peaceful escape with delightful rural views. Set on a quiet lane in the pretty village of Otterburn, it’s within a few metres of a variety of shops, pubs and excellent restaurants.

Hang your coats and dog leads in the vestibule and venture into the dual-aspect lounge, which boasts a comfy leather sofa and a Smart TV plus, for cosy winter evenings, a warming open fire. At the opposite end of the room, beside the French doors for glorious views of the garden and beyond, sits the wooden dining table. The kitchen has integrated appliances and plenty of cupboard space, and leads into the sun room, a comfortable spot for quiet moments. Also on this level you’ll find a double and a single bedroom, sharing a family bathroom. Down a flight of stairs is a utility room with laundry facilities, which may be the best place to store your mutts’ food and treats - you can let them out into the garden directly from this room, too. On this level there’s also a twin bedroom with a cot. On the first floor is the king-size bedroom, which enjoys superb views and an en-suite shower room. The mature garden boasts a raised patio with dining furniture and a BBQ on which you can grill some local delicacies, a spacious lawn, and even a vegetable patch from which you’re welcome to pick your own salad leaves, potatoes and onions.

The cottage makes a perfect base for getting out and about in the Northumberland National Park. Explore beautiful woodlands, moorlands and valleys, spot all kinds of wildlife and visit historic sites, such as Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads Roman Fort, 26.5 miles.
