Have a delightful break in Dawlish and bring your four-legged friend along too. This two-bedroom cottage in the Devon seaside town sleeps four guests and welcomes pups with open paws. Make the most of your bucket and spade break with trips to dog-friendly beaches and stretch furry legs with walks out along the South West Coast Path. Return to relax in the fresh air of your outside space with your contented canine.
Open the front door and follow your waggy-tailed friend through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This will be at the heart of the holiday home throughout your stay. Unpack your shopping and feed your hungry hound in the kitchen area. Dine at the table then relax in front of your favourite boxset on the Smart TV while your four-pawed chum enjoys a quiet doze. Also downstairs is a family shower room and an area where you can arrange your pal’s bed so he can enjoy some quiet time to himself. Your own bedrooms are up on the first floor of the property. These include a king-size and a twin room with 2’6” beds that can also be made up as a king-size if discussed at booking. Sit out in the terraced garden, which has areas of gravel and lawn, with your happy hound on warm evenings, perhaps grilling supper on the BBQ.
Pick up the lead and walk just over 0.5 miles to the town’s beach, where there are some areas that pups are permitted on all year round. Pick up the South West Coast Path and strike out in either direction. Spend time at Dawlish Warren, 2 miles away, which has picturesque scenery and swathes of sand that are pet-friendly. Ness Cove, 5 miles away, has no restrictions at any time and includes an exercise space for pups.
