On the opposite side of the property is the kitchen which also has a small dining area and all the equipment you’ll need to fix up a feast for large groups. Completing the ground floor is the first of the bedrooms, furnished with a French antique double bed with an en-suite bathroom and a door leading out into the garden. The remaining bedrooms can be found upstairs including a lovely double bedroom and a king-size bedroom enjoying views into the garden. When the sun is shining, the tiered garden is the best place to be, with a lawn for pups to play, and a patio and seating area for al fresco dining.

The great heights of Skiddaw lie just 5 miles away, offering a challenge for those on four legs as well as two who love to hike. Any hard work with be rewarded with awe-inspiring views from the summit. Alternatively, spend the day enjoying a slower pace with a visit to Mirehouse and Gardens, 4 miles away.
