Embrace the art of relaxation at this traditional stone cottage sitting in a pretty countryside complex of properties just outside the serene fishing village of Solva. Sleeping four people across three bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, this is an idyllic accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who yearn to explore Pembrokeshire’s iconic coastline with their pups by their side. Take your pups for a stroll along the beautiful beach at Porthclais and then come home to the cottage’s lovely garden to fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco.
Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by the bright and light open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. Take a moment to make yourself at home in the living area, which boasts wonderful whitewashed stone walls and traditional wooden beams and doors. Make your way to the kitchen to whip up some dinner and get the whole gang together in the dining area to eat. Alternatively, step out into the garden, fire up a BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, head to the shared garden to the front of the property to watch the stars to come out, or make your way to the lounge area to stretch out by the flickering wood burner to watch your favourite TV show. At the end of the day, head upstairs and you’ll find three lovely bedrooms - two doubles and a single.
Tails are certain to wag when you go for walkies at the dog-friendly beach at Newgale Sands (5 miles). Alternatively, go for a historic stroll in the grounds of the beautiful cathedral in St Davids (7 miles). Afterwards, head to the pretty fishing village of Solva (3 miles) to see the fishing boats bobbing in the harbour and sample the local seafood in one of its cosy dog-friendly pubs.
