Go mutts for exposed stone walls, feature fireplaces and original beams in this characterful country cottage. Made with four guests and one dog in mind, the cosy abode is a wonderful choice for any family group hoping to explore the majestic Snowdonia National Park with man’s best friend leading the way. Set within four stone walls in the traditional Welsh village of Dolgellau, you can look forward to memory-making adventure days and restful nights when staying here, all in the company of your nearest and dearest – four-pawed pals included, of course!
Cross the threshold to find yourself in a sociable lounge/diner with stone-flagged flooring – a delight when returning home with a wet-pawed pup. Once muddy fur has been cleaned off, leave your dog to curl up in the cosiest spot in the house whilst you settle in. The kitchen is directly next door with French doors leading out into a sunny little garden, entirely enclosed and suitable for pets. Prepare meals to be enjoyed either inside or out, letting Fido enjoy a stretch of their legs whilst you sit on patio furniture outdoors. Back inside, a cottage staircase leads up to two bijou bedrooms and the bathroom is found downstairs on the ground floor.
For energetic pets with a taste for hiking adventures, surrounding Snowdonia is a top dog place to be. The village sits at the base of Cadair Idris, with the Penygader peak located just 7 miles away. The National Park’s namesake mountain, the famous Snowdon, is further away but within driving distance (28 miles). Set out to explore the Torrent Walk for walkies that lead through mystical woodland scenery, setting off from just outside the village (2.5 miles) and venturing along the Clywedog River.
