Embark on an adventure in the North Lakes with your four-pawed pal in tow and you’ll all be thrilled by the fantastic walking trails in the local area, including the whimsical woodland walks at Whinlatter Forest (5 miles). This charming holiday home is a great place to base yourself, with a cosy feel and space to socialise and relax.
The living room is a warm and inviting space with natural light pouring in through the large windows and soft seating for cosy evenings spent at home. At the back of the room is the dining table and six chairs situated beneath an ornate pendant light, perfect for celebratory meals. When it’s time to prepare a feast, the galley-style kitchen has everything you’ll need in the contemporary space decorated in rich earthy tones. A window from the kitchen also allows easy access to pass food through to the dining table. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a twin overlooking the town, and a master bedroom with a sumptuous double bed. To the front of the house is a walled patio which is sunlit for most of the day, an idyllic spot for a morning coffee or evening meal al fresco.
Step out of your holiday home and you’ll find Derwentwater Lake just 500 metres away from your door, an excellent area for morning walkies. For more of a challenge, why not tackle the peaks of Skiddaw (5 miles) and Catbells (6 miles)? Be sure to pack plenty of water and a few treats along the way to keep tails wagging as you head towards the summit to marvel at the far-reaching views of the Lake District National Park.
