Nestled among rolling hills with an enclosed courtyard garden and a warming wood burner, this romantic bolthole is perfect for you, your loved one, and two of your four-legged friends. Enjoy this peaceful location in a pretty village situated close to the Peak District National Park.
This lovely and cosy stone-built barn dates back to the 1800s and has an open-plan living space. Fire up the wood burner in the comfortable lounge, let the dogs curl up by your feet, and catch up on your favourite TV shows. The galley style kitchen has everything you need to rustle up tasty meals, and a two-seater dining table is provided where you can enjoy eating together. When you are ready for some shuteye, head through to the bedroom which has a double bed and superb views of the surrounding fields. Outside is an enclosed courtyard containing seating and a BBQ, the ideal spot to enjoy dining alfresco or sipping on a morning coffee as the dogs sniff about.
Just down the road in the village of Fritchley, you will find a lovely dog-friendly pub (300 metres) and further amenities in Sawmills (1 mile) or Crich (1.5 miles). Visit Matlock Bath (8 miles) and lead the way to adventures on the many walking routes in the area that wind through the green lanes, trails, and along the riverside. Hop on the Peak Rail Steam Railway (13 miles) that winds through Derbyshire and the Peak District, and dogs are welcome on board.
