The cottage is located on a narrow lane flanked by similarly attractive properties. Its interior is a mixture of traditional and contemporary, with exposed beams, feature fireplaces and narrow doorways punctuated by clean and colourful soft furnishings across hard and carpeted flooring. Enter via the kitchen, an area to create memorable dishes with channel views beyond. The dining room has space for everyone on two and four legs, and when plates are cleared everyone can relax and unwind in the comfort of the pretty lounge. The cottage’s family bathroom, en-suite king-size room with sea views, a double bedroom and twin bedroom stand on the first floor, while the second floor comprises a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, both with sea views. A shower room stands nearby. Patio doors in the lounge lead to a decked area outside, a place to relax with a morning coffee or alfresco meal with stunning coastal views beyond.
The coastline around Mortehoe is punctuated by small coves including Rockham Beach, Grunta Beach and Combesgate Beach (within 0.5 miles). Walkers can see the coast from a different perspective by following the South West Coast Path (0.5 miles). Woolacombe (1 mile) is a surfers’ paradise with a dog-friendly beach and plenty of pubs and cafes welcoming canine customers. Exmoor National Park (14 miles) is home to majestic moorlands, sweeping coastlines and wondrous wooded valleys.
