Indulge in scenic walks through the magnificent Snowdonia National Park and days out to beautiful beaches with your beloved hound when you stay at this retreat in Penmaenmawr, North Wales. Sleeping just two human guests, the one-bedroom cottage looks out over the rolling countryside towards Conwy Bay. With an attractive garden that also captures the views, it is a paradise for pups as well as people.
Rub damp down with a towel then enter via the porch. Follow your chum through to the lounge where he can stretch out on the floor while you unwind after your latest long walk. Find a film on TV or chat through the day’s dog-friendly activities. Prepare a meal in the kitchen/diner, with the fresh produce you have bought, and serve your furry friend his dinner too. Afterwards, take a glass of wine into the rear porch to enjoy as the sun sets. Give your happy hound a last stroll around the garden before settling him for the night downstairs. Your bedroom, which has twin beds that can be pushed together, is on the first floor of the cottage. Awake to enjoy a refreshing shower before letting your pal out into the garden and having breakfast outside on fine days. Light the BBQ on summer evenings and gaze out towards the mountains with your cheerful chum by your side. There’s space out here to store bikes and outdoor gear.
Walk 1 mile to the beach where happy hounds can be let off the lead to run freely in designated areas at low tide. Head over to the Isle of Anglesey, 15 miles away, for the day where dogs are allowed on the beaches at Beaumaris, Aberffraw Bay and Penmon Point, among others. Venture into Snowdonia to follow an array of different footpaths and trails.
