A 17th-century thatched cottage draped in original features on the edge of Croyde, a picturesque seaside village just 13 miles from Exmoor National Park. The dog-friendly cottage offers cosy living areas, an enclosed garden and easy access to coastal and inland attractions in the North Devon AONB.
The cottage is located down a quiet country lane close to other charming properties. The cosy interior mixes exposed beams and low ceilings with comfortable soft furnishings, with everything laid out across white-washed walls and hard flooring. The inviting lounge welcomes those who crave relaxation with refreshments after a long day exploring the local area. The family bathroom and the contemporary kitchen are only a few paw prints away, the latter spacious enough for a couple of cooks to create indulgent meals served in the adjacent dining room. The steep staircase leads upstairs to a well-appointed double bedroom and twin bedroom that guarantee a peaceful night’s sleep. The split-level, fully-enclosed garden comprises a patio area immediately outside the cottage that leads up to a large lawn area perfect for dog-friendly children’s games.
Croyde’s beautiful village lies within 1 mile of the cottage. It feeds down into a long sandy beach that has been a popular destination for water sports lovers who mingle in the various shops and cafes nearby. Dogs are only welcome on the beach during low season but parts of Woolacombe and Saunton Sands (both within 4.5 miles) welcome dogs all year round. The beautiful 36-hole championship links course at Saunton (3 miles) is a must for anyone who loves golf, while Exmoor National Park, home of stunning woodland walks, magical moorlands and stunning coastlines, is just 13 miles away.
