Beautifully decorated throughout, this gorgeous renovated post office offers a spectacular stay in a historical setting. It’s got space for up to 12 human guests and two canine chums – it’s just right for an extended family trip or birthday celebration among friends. There’s a games room equipped with a table tennis table so you can entertain yourselves in the evenings. This holiday home is located in the charming village of Alnmouth, with a sandy dog-friendly beach just 500m away.

This three-storey home has a number of lovely period features, such as wooden beams, exposed stone walls and quaint window seats. Quality furniture, a cheerful colour scheme and appealing decorative touches give a real sense of home. In the light and airy lounge, unwind with a book on one of the comfy sofas or watch a film on the Smart TV while your pets laze on the rug. We’re sure they’ll gravitate toward the cosy wood burner if you spark it up! There’s a second lounge separated from this space with French doors, so you can create a double lounge, allowing your large group to spread out. The glorious dining room is excellent for those leisurely holiday meals prepared by your best chef on the range-style cooker. In warm weather, spend quality time with your fellow guests and pets in the enclosed patio, where a picnic table creates a pleasing spot for morning coffees and discussions about what to do today.

You’ll be in a convenient location with shops, pubs and restaurants within 100m of your front door. You’ll be within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so expect stunning views wherever you go. Walk 100m to join the Northumberland and follow it to Seaton Point (2.5 miles) for a scenic stroll your pet will adore. The Aln Estuary (0.5 miles) is renowned for its migrating birds, such as redshanks, snipe and wigeons, so don’t forget your binoculars!

10 of us (3 generations )spent 3 very happy days at The Old Post Office ,Alnmouth The house made the holiday, table as we felt very comfortable in it.It was well appointed, but not precious. Huge, well equipped and welcoming property with something for all ages. Everyone enjoyed th table tennis! Location is great with easy access to Northumberland attractions, we had a great holiday but for the weather - must pick a drier week next time!

We were a party of 6 adults 4 children and 2dogs. The house was excellent as were the local hostleries. Well located for coastal walks and local tourist attractions. Almouth is a picturesque village and we would recommend this property to anyone.

The Old Post Office served us very well. Three generations congregated from Gloucestershire, Leicestershire & Ireland for family holiday plus a Labrador. What a lovely spacious house with everything we could think of. The boot room was great for our February stay as lots of boots, coats & wellies.
