Sleeping just two guests, the one-bedroom, dog-friendly retreat is perfect for couples keen to explore both the town and the surrounding Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Return from your pup-tastic adventures to enjoy a glass of fizz on the patio and gaze out over the water with your contented canine at your feet.

Usher your furry-eared friend into the apartment, which has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner at its heart. Let him wander about a little and make himself feel at home as you unpack any of the tasty Welsh produce you have sourced in town. Give him the special fresh cuts you have bought for him then start preparing your own candle-lit dinner for two. Dine at the table inside or out on the patio with your pal also enjoying the fresh air. Spend cooler evenings inside, cuddled up on the sofa in front of the Smart TV, with your four-legged friend resting on the rug. When you are ready to retire too, have a hot shower in the shower room before heading through to the double bedroom, which looks out over the river. Take your happy hound for a walk along the river path, which can be accessed via a private gate, then return for coffee and breakfast on the patio.

Book a self-drive boat and take your furry friend on a trip along the river with you. He is also welcome to accompany you on a horse-drawn carriage ride from Llangollen Wharf. Discover an array of footpaths and trails to follow from the town. Enjoy a 1.5-mile stroll together up to the ruins of Castell Dinas Bran.

The Nest - a very compact flat in an ideal location by the River Dee and within walking distance to the town centre. The car parking pass also provides free parking at any of Denbighshire's car parks. The closest access to the flat requires going down 20 stone steps. There is an alternative level walking route from the nearest car park. Excellent bijou hideaway for 2 on the River Dee along the riverside walk and park in Llangollen. Well maintained and clean flat with own access and small private seating area to enjoy the river and human life passing by. Very comfortable bed from which the noise of the river will help you sleep.
