Lovingly renovated with two guests in mind, this property lends itself perfectly to a romantic getaway for any couple who wouldn’t dream of travelling without their dogs. With the cottage situated on a working farm, any two dogs who stay will need to get used to having some grazing livestock as neighbours. These two canine companions will simply adore the ample walking opportunities that lie on your doorstep, including the marvellous Ridgeway National Trail for epic, unforgettable walkies.

With plenty of country charm, this lovely space is sure to make you feel welcome from the moment you step foot (or paw) inside. Head into the porch and give pups a good shake down with an old towel, also leaving your boots and coats behind. From here you can make yourselves at home in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, complete with a Smart TV for catching up on box sets or drifting off in front of a film. Large windows and French doors also show off the pretty garden that sits beside the property, a space where your dogs are free to explore. The property is entirely laid out on the ground floor so step back inside and find a king-size bedroom and a family bathroom just down the hallway.

Let Fido sniff the way as you suss out the scenery in the North Wessex Downs, a fantastic AONB. Discover the vibrant scenery of Welford Park (7.5 miles) and the vibrant heathlands of Snelsmere Common (7.5 miles). Both areas are just on the outskirts of Newbury (10.5 miles), a historic market town with plenty of pup-friendly pubs and shops to browse. The towns of Reading (24 miles) and Oxford (21 miles) are also just a drive away, each offering a wonderful afternoon of easy browsing.

A lovely place to stay. Clean and welcoming, with friendly hosts and beautiful surroundings. Ample parking, Wi-Fi, and lots of peace and quiet. Felt very safe. Great pubs within short drive or leisurely walk

The cottage was wonderful, very nicely thought out and lovely touches throughout. The location really made is, very beautiful and peaceful which was just what we needed. The view from the living room was gorgeous and the patio great for relaxing outside. Lovely countryside for walks and a farm shop near by for local produce and food as well as locaRead morel pubs. Delightful single storey accommodation, though the sofas are a little low for the elderly, or those with bad backs. Owner charming and helpful. If you like being in the middle of nowhere, this is for you. Oxford not too far, nor Abingdon or Newbury. Wantage is a pleasant small town, about 4 miles distant with large Sainsburys with cheapest petrol wRead moree have found. Overall, a very pleasant holiday was had by us here.p Hide
