Combine indoor and outdoor living when experiencing a dog-friendly stay in this wonderful country cottage. Situated within an acre of land in the marvellous Exmoor National Park, this holiday home is simply a fantastic option for filling your days with rewarding dog walks and epic outdoor excursions including days at the beach on Devon’s tail-wagging coastline. The property sleeps up to eight guests and two dogs, an unrivalled option for the whole family. When at home, put feet (and paws) up whilst sitting in the conservatory, letting pets and children play in the capacious garden.
Go mutts for the country cottage aesthetic and comfortable interiors that await you, stepping inside to find stone-flagged flooring, exposed brickwork and original fireplaces paired with up-to-date furnishings. On the ground floor, the utility room and wet room are extremely handy when coming home from a long walk with bounding bowows and mucky paws. Once clean and dry, serve up a dog’s dinner in the lounge and let your pup curl up by the wood burner whilst you watch TV and children play in the playroom. And, when it’s time for bed, your pets can snooze comfortably down here as you find four bedrooms on the first floor.
A must-visit attraction when staying in this area is the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, a route leading from Killington Lane (2.5 miles) down into coastal Lynmouth (6.5 miles). This delightful route is pet-friendly, so jump on with your pets to visit the beach! Lynmouth is a picturesque seaside town with dog-friendly Blacklands Beach and access to the South West Coast Path for endless clifftop walkies. Another popular walking destination is Watersmeet (8 miles), a National Trust-maintained area with a river gorge and ancient woodlands in which dogs can sniff out some adventure.
