Hugging the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this classic country cottage with homely decor and wooden furnishings offers the perfect base for a canine and their small family of humans, seeking a quiet, rural break. You’ll have the coast, an array of nature reserves and quaint villages surrounding you to explore in the day, before kicking back for a movie night in the lounge.

Towel down Fido’s sandy paws in the porch and put the kettle on in the country-style kitchen/diner with wooden cabinets and views out the garden through the wide window. Serve up some home-cooked delights at the dining table before moving into the lounge. This neutral-toned space is just the right size for your hound to stretch their legs and curl up by your feet while you settle in for a game night on the sofas. Also on the ground floor is a convenient utility room/WC. Upstairs you’ll find a family bathroom, a double room and a twin. Outside is an enclosed, lawned garden with furniture.

Wander into the surrounding hills and fields by following the network of footpaths, bridleways and lanes from your doorstep. Lead the way to adventure in the Rigsby Wood – Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve (1 mile), or why not visit the nearby garden centre (3 miles). Pack a picnic and enjoy a day out in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to find the South Ormsby Estate country park (6 miles) and Walmsgate Medieval Village (7 miles). Spend a day by the sea on the dune-backed sandy Huttoft Beach (9 miles) – which is dog-friendly all year round.

• 22KW Zappi electric vehicle charging point for shared use by guests approx. 200m away from the cottage at a weekly charge of £25 – please request with the owner prior to arrival
• The property is situated on a working farm, so please bear the following things in mind: Children and dogs are not permitted in the working farmyard
• Some tractor noise will be heard during the harvest months, (late August to mid-September and occasionally at other times, rarely before 9am and hardly after 10.30pm)
• Occasional use of grain dryer fan but this should have no impact on your stay as it is a distance away
• Occasional use of bird scarers in spring and late autumn during the day – may be audible when out walking
• Please do not let off any fireworks or Chinese lanterns
• During early spring, the cattle will not be used to humans, and it may not be advisable to walk in the cattle fields with young children
• Guests are very welcome to walk both the public footpaths and around the field margins
• The property can also be booked with a neighbouring cottages to sleep between 8-14 guests
• Arrival: 16:00 onwards
• Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
• 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
• There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
