In a peaceful spot in rural West Wales, this holiday home is surrounded by working farmland, creating a lovely spot for a relaxing trip with up to two dogs. You’ll be 2 miles from a pet-friendly pub and 6.5 from the seaside town of Aberystwyth, offering pretty coastal walks and a lovely beach. The six-person house is brimming with old-world charm, with its stone exterior, vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. You’ll also have access to a shared children’s play area – excellent if there are any youngsters in your party!
The property has an upside-down layout, with the living area on the ground floor and the three bedrooms downstairs. You’ll spend much of your time in large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a lovely space with sofas, a modern kitchen and a farmhouse-style table for enjoying meals together. After long days lapping up the local sites, your pets will love dozing at your feet while you relax into a film on the Smart TV, glass of wine in hand, perhaps! Outside, you’ll have a private patio area with a picnic bench for having breakfast as you admire the panoramic views of lush Welsh fields.
When it’s time to explore your surroundings, head to the nearby Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest (8 miles), where the pets to lead you on walks in a wonderful woodland and lakeside setting. Looking for a pet-friendly day out. We recommend going to Aberystwyth station and boarding the Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge steam railway to Devil’s Bridge. This fascinating site has an impressive 90 m waterfall that’s well worth the trip.
