Take your partner and your puppy on a quiet and lovely holiday in beautiful Morpeth, Northumberland. This property is the perfect size for your group and offers plenty of nice, modern features. You’ll have easy access to some lovely walks and great dog-friendly attractions.
The ground floor of this cottage is mostly devoted to a spacious lounge, which is bright and airy, equipped with a wood burner-effect electric fire, chandelier and comfortable sofas, and finished with a wooden floor, so listen out for the tip-taps of your dog’s paws as they trot around. It’s a charming place to relax and reconnect. To one side, you’ll see the kitchen/diner, covered by a sloping glass roof, and decorated with pops of colour. There’s a breakfast bar for meals and everything you’ll need to make fresh food or pack up picnics. Head upstairs to find the king-size bedroom, decorated like the lounge with a wooden floor and second chandelier. There’s an en-suite tiled bathroom. You’ll have the use of an enclosed patio which is shared between a few other properties.
You’ll be in the centre of Morpeth with easy access to lots of dog-friendly pubs and Carlisle Park, a dog-friendly park with manicured garden areas, 0.5 miles away. If you fancy letting your salty sea dog play in the waves, take a day trip to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, 8 miles, which has a long beach. There are seasonal restrictions for canines in some areas, so do check ahead. Finish your holiday by visiting Belsay Hall (10 miles) where dogs are welcome (on their leads) and you can explore the medieval ruins and quarry, see jousting or enjoy seasonal events, and grab something tasty from the cafe.
