Gather your loved ones for a holiday in this incredible converted barn. There’s plenty of room for friends, family or a mixed group of both, plus your favourite four-legged friends. You’ll be able to explore the beautiful Lake District or relax and socialise in style with lots of fun little features throughout the property.
Enter through the vast doors to find yourself in a lounge, where you can see the stairs to the first floor and a mezzanine, then all the way to the roof. There are exposed bricks and wooden beams which honour the building’s past. The ground floor also accommodates the kitchen, which is equipped with a breakfast bar and an Aga, a dining room which can seat the whole party, a WC, a utility room with a vaulted ceiling, and the first three bedrooms. There’s a king-size, a double and a twin, all with en-suites for privacy and convenience. Return to the lounge and head up the stairs for the mezzanine snug/reading nook, perfect for quiet moments, a lounge and a games room. You’ll find two more bedrooms here – both king-size with en-suites, and one with a dressing room. The property has expansive grounds with lawns and shrubs for children and dogs to play on, and a seating area with benches and a table so you can relax outside with a drink. To keep things secure, the garden is enclosed by a wooden fence.
The barn is surrounded by farmland and great places to walk. The nearest village is Bassenthwaite, a mile away, and it has one pub which serves good food and welcomes dogs. If you’d like a bigger hub, try Keswick, 7.5 miles, which has more dog-friendly eateries and some shops.
