Scratch Rex’s soft ears and gaze out across the picturesque Dyfi Estuary as you relax together in the sunshine at this Welsh holiday home. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat offers single-storey accommodation from its elevated position above Aberdyfi in North Wales. With coastal and estuary walks on the doorstep, it is also a paws-down winner because of its attractive, terraced garden.
Head into the hideaway with Rex at your heel; hang his lead then accompany him through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Slide open the doors on to the garden in the summer months or unwind on the soft seating and watch the Smart TV with your chum close by on colder days. Whip up tasty meals for your family and friends, including those with waggy tails, over in the kitchen space, then dine at the table as you take in the views. Show Rex his bed then head off to yours, in either the king-size or the twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom at this holiday home. Make the most of the mature, multi-level garden, playing with Rex for a while on the grass then relaxing with a glass of wine on the patio in the evenings as the BBQ warms up.
Amble just 0.5 miles down to scenic Aberdyfi Beach with Rex, then enjoy giving him the freedom to bound in and out of the waves as he chooses. Find walks alongside the estuary and river from here too. Follow the Wales Coast Path for 4 miles up to Tywyn. Hike out deep into the magnificent Snowdonia National Park from your base. If Rex is energetic then he might enjoy the 3.5-mile hike up to Llyn Barfog, also known as the Bearded Lake. There is also a lovely dog walk at the Dolgoch Falls, 10 miles away.
