Nearby Scarborough (10 miles), for instance, is a much-loved seaside town with traditional attractions, including beach-front cafes and amusement arcades. There are also some lesser-known family attractions here, including a waterpark, the Sea Life Sanctuary, cliff-top castle and the oriental-themed Peasholm Park with its boating lake, cafe and cascading waterfall. It is recommended that guests look up local regulations if intending to take their dogs to beaches in North Yorkshire, as restrictions often apply during the summer months.
