Head inland to sniff out rural adventure at North Riding Forest Park (16 miles) where there will be plenty of sticks to fetch and picturesque areas to settle down for a tasty treat. Travel along the Yorkshire Coast Path and have a ball stopping off at the blissful beaches for a break, or hop in the car and travel 20 miles to the iconic seaside destination of Whitby to scour the sand for hidden treasure.
