Have a treat in Norfolk with this gorgeous and unconventional property. Perfect for a mixed group and their four dogs, you’ll have plenty to do and explore in the cottage, but if you want to head out, a canine-compliant sandy beach is only 100 metres away.
As you enter, you’ll find a spacious kitchen/diner. Next door is the lounge, comfortable and cosy with a wood burner and a TV for movie nights. The four bedrooms are upstairs, two doubles, a twin, and a king-size zip-and-link. A huge and exciting quirk of this property is the secret rooms, accessed through a wardrobe. You won’t find Narnia, but children will be delighted with playrooms, incredibly decorated with a fantasy mural, a secret staircase and access to the garden. As you continue outside, you’ll discover a large garden, enclosed with a fence, where kids and dogs can roam and explore while adults stretch on the patio furniture or bubble troubles away in the six-person hot tub with a bar on one side.
Sea Palling is a charming town with lots on offer. The sandy beach welcomes dogs (with some restrictions) and it’s only 100 metres from your front door. Enjoy an ice cream here or wander over to one of the dog-friendly cafes and pubs, many of which overlook the sea. Take a walk to the Happisburgh Lighthouse, 5.5 miles away, which offers slices of cake and nuggets of history: it’s the oldest working lighthouse in England. If you fancy a day out, try Norwich (19.5 miles) for shops, markets and a cathedral.
