For a rural group holiday within the Cairngorms National Park, this spacious accommodation offers a comfortable and cosy place to stay. You’ll have outstanding walks and longer hikes leaving right from your front door, and have rare and endangered species as your neighbours. The lovely detached lodge has room for up to 12 humans and two canines, so is perfect for a trip among extended family or a large group of friends and their children.
Upon entering this bright and airy property, leave your coats and muddy boots in the cloakroom before stepping into the stylish and modern kitchen which is perfect for preparing those hearty holiday meals. This leads to a lounge/diner where you’ll do much of your relaxing, either stretching out on the sofas or snacking at the table. A wood burner is on hand to create a welcome snooze spot for tired pets. From here, a spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine where there’s a chill-out area and four of the five bedrooms (the other bedroom is downstairs). The garden is a wonderful place to relax together, offering spectacular views over the Cairngorm Mountains and a lawn area where pets and children can run around. A decked area creates the ideal spot for stargazing with a cheeky Scotch or two after dinner.
The cottage is in a secluded location, with the nearest pubs and shops 12.5 miles away, and further facilities in Braemar village 15 miles away. There are plenty of dog-friendly activities in the surrounding area, starting perhaps with the Devil’s Elbow viewpoint 4.5 miles to the north. In winter, you can ski at the Glenshee resort 12 miles away, which offers 40km of ski runs when the conditions are good. Blairgowrie, 19.5 miles away, is another town you’ll find some pubs and restaurants.
