Let your four-legged friend bound about the beautiful meadow when you stay at this delightful shepherd’s hut in the Forest of Dean. Situated less than 1 mile from the centre of Bream and 3 miles from Lydney, the one-bedroom hideaway sleeps two guests, as well as a beloved pet. Ideal for pups and people who love the great outdoors, it comes with a fire pit and a wood burner to bask beside after long walks through your picturesque surroundings and through the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Watch your happy hound bound up the five wooden steps to discover his bijou new home-from-home. Inside, the shepherd’s hut offers exquisite accommodation for a quiet stay away. Light the wood burner in the lounge/bedroom on chilly days, then spend some quality time with your furry friend as you chat, read your books and make plans for your next adventure. Settle him on the floor, while you treat yourselves to a fabulous night’s sleep in the double bed before heading over to the kitchen area, 50 metres away, to whip up a hearty English breakfast to set you up for the day. There is also a private shower room and WC for you to use, as well as a separate chemical WC near the shepherd’s hut. Let your pal race about the meadow to his heart’s content while you cook on the fire pit, unwind in the hammock and take in the views.
Find footpaths and trails to set tails wagging right from the grounds in which the retreat is set. Venture 12 miles to Symonds Yat to discover dog walks that take you through the forest and along the river. Energetic pups might also like to climb up to the rock with you to enjoy the views.
