As the evenings draw in, make use of the open fire to create a cosy ambience. There’s a big kitchen/diner with space for everyone to enjoy meals together. You’ll also see a games room kitted out with table football and ping pong, and a utility room which leads to the garden. The property has four bedrooms, all situated upstairs. Three are king-size and the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. In the adjacent lodge, there is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, and a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. When you’ve soaked up all the sun at the cottage, take a day trip to Bournemouth, 11 miles away. Alternatively, trade swimming in the pool for paddling on the beach and visit Hengistbury Head Beach (7.5 miles), which welcomes dogs and their humans. As you’re in the New Forest, you should see some excellent trees, and the Blackwater Arboretum is the perfect spot to do this.
