Immerse yourselves in the beauty of Dorset then return to this bright, inviting holiday home with your happy hound. Situated in Wool, the three-bedroom, modern hideaway sleeps six guests and offers stylish, airy accommodation, with a delightful, enclosed garden. Surrounded by gorgeous, dog-walking countryside, the village of Wool is also just 5.5 miles from the coast and pup-friendly beauty spots such as Lulworth Cove.

Rub damp paws then enter this contemporary cottage via the front door and hall. Head into the light-filled kitchen/diner to unpack the fresh provisions you have bought and give your waggy-tailed chum a well-earned dish of food. Rustle up dinner for everyone else then pull chairs up to the table by the window. Follow your furry friend into the lounge where he can make himself comfortable in the cosy glow of the wood burner during the winter months as you watch the Smart TV. Open the French doors to the garden in the summer to create seamless indoor/outdoor living. There is also a downstairs WC. After bidding your pet goodnight, climb the stairs up to your well-presented bedrooms. These include two doubles and a king-size with an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom up here. Play games with your pal out on the lawn while the BBQ heats up and everyone savours the glorious sunshine.

Wander off on long walks in the surrounding area together. Try a 5-mile loop that takes in Coombe Heath and Lulworth Castle, where four-legged visitors are welcome to explore the parkland grounds. Head down to the dramatic Jurassic Coast to stride out along the South West Coast Path with your eager chum. Head 5.5 miles from your base to see the striking natural landmark of Durdle Door and take your paw-some pal to paddle in the shallows.

Lovely cottage in a great location. So clean, well appointed and so many lovely little touches, such as cotton wool in the bathrooms (something I always forget!), loo roll, washing up liquid, tea, coffee and milk. Loved staying there, kitchen was extremely well stocked. Including separate washer and dryer, dishwasher ( don't open during a wash, it messes up), weigh scales, a dog bed, vacuum, enclosed garden, and a short walk to the train station. Really clean tidy and comfortable. Could do with another or bigger sofa.
