This delightful property, situated in a peaceful location just 6 miles from Preston, is the perfect countryside getaway for you and your family – including your loyal hound! Sleeping four across two peaceful bedrooms, this converted barn is an opportunity to escape the stresses of daily life and explore the wonderful coast and country yet keeping close to a major city. Take the 7.5-mile Jeffrey Hill and Longridge Fell Circular hiking route from Jeffrey Hill in the Forest of Bowland (16 miles) or head to Lytham St Annes Beach (19 miles) where your pup can unleash their energy all year round.

The property sits at the end of a private drive with three other properties that can be booked together. As you step inside you’re welcomed by a fresh and bright open-plan living area with a stunning wood-panelled apex ceiling, bespoke lighting and dark beams. Snuggle up on the sofa in the evening with a good book or your favourite show on TV, or watch the children and dog play in the enclosed garden that’s shared with the other properties on site. Both bedrooms have the same light and airy feel that promotes a good night’s sleep, leaving you refreshed and ready for another day of adventure.

Go for a ride on the Ribble Steam Railway (6.5 miles) that takes you on a 3-mile trip across the Preston Marina and along the diverted River Ribble. Pups are also welcome on the West Lancashire Light Railway (6 miles). Go for walkies around Worden Park (6.5 miles) where you’ll find formal gardens, a historic hedge maze and beautiful wildflower meadows. For a more challenging hike, try the 8-mile Much Hoole circular walk that starts at St Michael’s Church in Hoole (2.5 miles).

Despite exterior appearances, this is a comfortable and contemporary cottage. Twin beds in one room and a double in the other. Shared bathroom.
