The holiday home, which has wonderful farmland and hill views from the patio, is spacious and bright. The charming kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm and eat together at the large dining table, while comfortable sofas in the lounge beckon you to sink into them in front of the fire, the dog snoozing by the hearth. Upstairs, the tranquil bedrooms await you; calming, neutral decor paired with wooden furniture creates the ideal atmosphere for a great night’s sleep. Take a soak in the spacious bath to ease aching hiking muscles and relax even more.
You’re less than 200 metres from two dog-friendly pubs, so you’ve got plenty of choice for a tipple and a bite to eat after a long day out walking. Stroll the grounds at Lowther Castle and Gardens (5 miles), or challenge yourself to some trails at Whinlatter Forest (21 miles) or up Skiddaw (20.5 miles).
