A fantastic base for exploring West Cornwall, this bright, fresh and spacious barn conversion has been stylishly decorated and sympathetically updated to make a relaxing holiday retreat. Perfect for couples, smaller families and pets, the property lies within easy reach of the bustling town of Redruth and the picturesque fishing village of Portreath, and features beamed ceilings and a raised decked area with far-reaching views. Offering elegant accommodation for up to four guests, this delightful hideaway also has plenty of space for a pair of four-legged companions to join you to discover the area’s quaint harbours, secluded coves and spellbinding countryside.

On the ground floor you will be greeted by the light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner featuring a Smart TV, comfortable sofas, a sociable dining table and a beautifully equipped kitchen perfect for rustling up a celebratory meal. Heading upstairs, there’s a nautically-themed family bathroom and two warmly decorated bedrooms: a cheerful twin and a charming king-size room, each with beamed ceilings. From the first floor, a door opens out onto a lovely private terrace with outdoor furniture, providing a relaxing spot to sit back and dine alfresco on a lazy summer’s day. External wooden steps lead down into the shared garden which has a children’s play area, picnic benches and ample space for dogs to run about.

Both Redruth (1.5 miles) and Portreath (3 miles) have some great pet-welcoming places to eat and drink, making an ideal base for long coastal walks with your pets. Your canine pals can join you for a steam train trip on the Helston Railway (13 miles), and this spellbinding part of Cornwall has plenty of other local dog-friendly attractions and landmarks including the gardens at Godolphin House, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, Trebah Garden, Flambards Theme Park and Enys Garden, all within 13 miles.

We had a lovely New Year at the cottage. The owners are very friendly and accommodating (many thanks for the cream tea!). A great location for exploring the coast, lots nearby. We visited Falmouth and St Ives, but much more within striking distance if you have more time. Very comfy living room to chill out in after the day's adventures.

Great cottage with a lovely garden, childrens play area and plenty of space for dog exercise. The owners have provided everything needed for a comfortable holiday, down to the smallest detail. The cream tea was especially welcome..
