This stunning property, situated in the heart of Bamburgh just half a mile from the beach, is perfect for couples and small families – including the canine family member, of course! Sleeping four over two relaxing bedrooms, it won’t be long before you’re feeling refreshed and ready to explore the beautiful Northumberland Coast AONB. Go for walkies along the coast path to Seahouses (3.5 miles) where you can take a boat trip to the Farne Islands; let your good boy or girl feel the wind in their fur as you catch glimpses of seals and many species of birds.
The holiday home, which has a large private driveway, has a charming mix of the traditional and the contemporary. The huge kitchen diner is filled with light thanks to skylights and large windows and doors out to the garden, while the stone fireplace and electric fire in the lounge is a cosy spot to curl up in after a long day out. Let sleeping dogs lie on the sunny patio in the garden while you dine alfresco, before climbing the stairs to sleep in one of the tranquil bedrooms that are filled with thoughtful coastal touches and lovely artwork.
Go for a stroll around the grounds of Bamburgh Castle (0.5 miles) before taking the coast path to the beach and along to Bamburgh Lighthouse (1 mile direct) for fantastic views. The Northumberland Coast is the perfect place for pups and children to unleash it all, with Beadnell Bay (6.5 miles), Newton Haven (9 miles) and Embleton Bay (10.5 miles) all welcoming dogs all year. Kids will love a ride on Heatherslaw Light Railway (19 miles) that takes you up to Etal Castle – stop at the local tearooms and enjoy a light bite outside before heading back to the station.
