A spacious farmhouse next to a working dairy farm amongst the countryside of the North Devon Hartland Peninsula. Ideal for large groups of ten adventurer guests and two canine companions, as no holiday is complete without your dog!

This large property is a real home from home and is perfect for socialising with your family and friends or taking some time out relaxing. Leave walking boots and dog leads hanging up in the boot room before heading through to the country-style kitchen which has everything you need to cook up a storm. Guests can cook and chat around the breakfast bar and eat together at the dining table. There are three lounge areas to choose from, two cosy rooms with wood burners and comfortable seating, perfect for sleepy paws to rest up in front of, and a games room, ideal for socialising and getting competitive. Upstairs are the three bedrooms, a bunk bedroom for the children, a double room, and a twin room, all share three bathrooms. Outside is a fantastic and enclosed garden with patio, lawn and a handy shed for storage. There is also an outside tap and hose, great for washing off sandy paws.

Sniff out adventures right from the doorstep with access to several footpaths that wind through the Devonshire countryside. Head to the coast and join the fantastic South West Coast Path, an interesting long-distance route that takes in some spectacular views. For those who love to feel their toes and paws in the sand, spend the day at Welcombe Mouth Beach (6 miles) rockpooling, paddling or sunbathing.

  • 3 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £50. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely comfortable cottage, decorated nicely for Christmas which was great to see on arrival. Do not follow the sat nav, as it takes you on awful tracks, follow their directions. We had a great Christmas week here with the family, plenty of room, and the teenagers even enjoyed the retro Nintendo!

Its a great house. Really spacious and we really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the toys and games. The owners responded quickly to a couple of issues. The flies are a bit annoying and the smell from the farm was really strong and quite overpowering, just means everything needs to stay closed (windows etc) but we may have just had an unlRead moreucky week in that respect. Lovely cottage in a quiet location, next to a cattle farm. Very well equipped kitchen. Lovely bed linen and fluffy towels. Good enclosed garden for children and dogs. Location is good. You need to travel on small country lanes for about 1.5 miles to get to the cottage. Parking for 3 cars. Really enjoyed our stay.

We know that it is on a farm but it would benefit from having fly screens

Was an amazing stay away really nice house to stay in. The house was very clean, super comfortable and very homely. Was in the perfect location to get to Cornwall or anywhere in north Devon. Beautiful cottage, lovely relaxing break. Plenty of nice beaches to visit. If a relaxing break is called for, this would be a great choice. We will definitely return sometime.
