With access to holiday park facilities including an indoor pool and clubhouse, this spacious lodge is a perfect retreat for a party of six and their four-pawed pal. Located on the upper edge of Polperro, it’s close to many of the South Cornwall coast’s holiday hot spots.
This spacious lodge welcomes you into a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with, at one end, patio doors framing a far-reaching view over the park. An ideal spot for family breakfasts and well-deserved evening meals after a day of adventure, the dining suite is close to the lounge area, the latter boasting ample comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a feature fireplace plus plenty of space for Fido to stretch out at your feet. Once he’s fast asleep, relocate to your choice of three inviting bedrooms, including a double with a Smart TV and a convenient Jack and Jill en-suite shower room, and two twin bedrooms. A well-appointed family shower room completes the comfort and convenience for all. For a sniff of fresh air, simply step outside onto decking that comes complete with garden furniture – a fabulous spot for al fresco dining and watching the world go by.
Enjoy waggy-tailed walks in the surrounding countryside or head a mile downhill to visit the historic fishing village of Polperro’s many pubs, restaurants and cafes. There’s a small, sandy beach beyond the harbour wall and a tidal pool below the cliffs; Lantic Bay (5 miles) is more secluded if you want to get off the beaten track. A similar distance in the opposite direction, lively Looe has a drool-worthy selection of eateries, inns and ice cream shops. Take a 9-mile train ride on the pet-friendly Looe Valley Line to Liskeard, the ancient Cornish town on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Alternatively, The Eden Project (20 miles) makes for a memorable day out – dogs can sniff out miles of outdoor paths, but are not allowed in the Biomes and some other areas, so to experience it all fully you’ll need to share the lead-holding duties.
