Unwind in the stunning limestone valley of Dovedale, one of the best-loved beauty spots in the Peak District. With plenty of spaces to socialise, incredible views and an enclosed garden for the pups, this cottage is an ideal base for a family get together.

Call your two canine companions through to the open-plan lounge/diner, where we’re sure you’ll spend a lot of your time catching up with loved ones. Embrace togetherness on the comfy seating while the chef of the party delights in cooking up a feast in the well-equipped shaker-style kitchen. Sip drinks around the central island, while the happy hounds pad around your feet looking for dropped snacks. Children have their own space to play games in the snug, and adults can lap up the peace and quiet in the reading room. Say goodnight to your four-pawed friends and make your way upstairs, where a selection of double and king-size rooms boast magical views over Bunster Hill or Thorpe Cloud. With two rooms offering en-suites and Smart TVs, there are plenty of amenities to keep the whole troop happy. In the morning, freshen up in one of two family bathrooms, and make your way to the enclosed garden where pups will enjoy their stretches.

Start the day with morning walkies on the easy access paths and grassy slopes of Dovedale. A favourite with families and day trippers, the crystal-clear Rover Dove roams through the centre of limestone ravines where you simply must cross the picturesque stepping stones. Be careful not to get splashed as your hound bounds through the waters! Avid walkers will love this location or jump in the car for further beautiful pathways; Tissington Trail (4 miles), Manifold Way (8 miles), and Monsal Trail (18 miles). Alternatively, spend the day at Chatsworth (20 miles) boasting 105 acres of landscaped gardens, a restaurant, a farmyard, and an adventure playground – invite two legs and four to make memories that last a lifetime.
