Couples, friends, families, groups of all ages and canine companions too – everyone will love to gather together in the stone-flagged, open-plan kitchen of this beautifully converted barn. Located between Alnwick and Bamburgh, it’s a great destination for a holiday exploring Northumberland’s fascinating coast and countryside.
Make special memories in this handsome property. On the ground floor, the kitchen/diner is a wonderful place in which to prepare stress-free meals, with a large, round dining table and a sofa at one end, plus a Smart TV, meaning that everyone can help while chatting and relaxing. There’s plenty of space to pop down’s your pups’ bowls and beds, and you can store food, leads and treats in the utility room. After supper, you might want to head upstairs to the separate lounge with its choice of seating, Smart TV and PlayStation. The bedrooms are split between the two floors: a king-size with en-suite shower room on the ground floor, and a twin and double on the first floor, both with en-suite bathrooms (the latter features a spa bath for de-stressing and soothing those tired muscles). To make the most of the fresh air with a meal or a drink, head through the French doors to the furnished patio area and relax in front of the chimenea and enjoy tasty meals from the BBQ.
The barn is set in a hamlet with lovely country views and is just 8 miles from Beadnell Bay, great for runs on the sandy beach or a bracing coastal walk. Bamburgh Castle (known as England’s finest coastal fortress) is 9 miles away and dogs on leads are allowed in the grounds and café, while the National Trust destination of Cragside, 20 miles, is a Victorian country house with 40 miles of footpaths to explore, and a welcome for four-pawed friends in the shop and tearooms too.
